Our Story
The Fáilte Hotel Killarney – located in the heart of Killarney town centre, proudly owned and operated by the O’Callaghan family since 1960.

It has seen many changes through many decades, from the original name The Fáilte Family Inn to the existing name, The Fáilte Hotel Killarney.

The Fáilte Hotel Killarney is a family run hotel who achieved a very recognised award in 2015, from the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) for 50 years of continuous and dedicated service to the hospitality industry in Kerry.

The Fáilte hotel Killarney is an unique 2 star property, hosting 14 bedrooms, an award winning locally loved Fáilte Restaurant and a very rare traditional Fáilte Bar.
The Fáilte Hotel Killarney is located adjacent to a public car park, the railway and bus station, the cinema, shops, Hop on and Hop off buses and late-night clubs. Local amenities include golf, fishing, horse-riding, boating and walking and hiking in the magnificent Killarney National Park. There are many tour companies located nearby, they are available for fantastic Wild Atlantic Way visits of the iconic Ring of Kerry. Bike hire available alongside and opposite the Fáilte Hotel. The O'Callaghan Family
The O'Callaghan family, led by Paudie, Niall and Eileen O'Callaghan, took over the Failte Hotel Killarney in 1960, and since then they have gone on to establish one of the finest bar and restaurant businesses in Kerry. We are internationally known for our high standard of cuisine. The family are heavily involved in the running of the business with Eileen's sons Paudie and Niall managing the bar, which is one of the most popular bars that can be found in Kerry. Paudie's wife Valerie is also involved in the running of the bar ensuring that the high standards set since 1960 are always being met.
Eileen continues to oversee the running of the restaurant, which has had numerous facelifts down the years to make sure that the decor keeps up to date with the fine cuisine available.
